BIO Victor Corces
Department of Biology, Emory University, Atlanta US | CV Victor G. Corces is a leader in the field of epigenetic control of gene expression, with an initial focus on the role of the primary structure of the chromatin fiber and how it is changed by posttranslational protein modifications. More recently, the Corces’ lab, has studied how the folding of the chromatin fiber in the nucleus contributes to epigenetic regulation. He found that several chromatin insulators form complexes with DNA that could control the nuclear organization required for cell differentiation and may be altered in cancer and other diseases.
